The 2019 National Association of Legal Search Consultants (NALSC) conference was held in Las Vegas this past weekend. The consensus was that it was one of the best conferences ever! The M Resort Spa & Casino was a terrific venue, the content of programs superb, the food and drink excellent, and participation high. Our own Jane Pollard joined the NALSC Board of Directors last year, and was elected as Secretary of the Board at the Town Hall Meeting. Congratulations Jane!
NALSC promulgates and enforces among its members the only Code of Ethics for the Legal Recruiting Industry. NALSC is the national professional organization for the legal search profession and, in addition to upholding the highest ethical standards in the field, strives to provide its members support, networking, and programming at its annual three day Spring Conference and its one day Fall Symposium. Topics covered in this year’s Spring Conference included an interactive workshop that provided techniques to help recruiters better understand and align with their client’s business; an interesting program on “subtextual” conversation discussing how body language, vocal patterns and mannerisms can raise or lower one’s effectiveness when working with candidates and clients; applying strategic and data-driven trends in recruiting; best practices and handling delicate situations in recruiting; financial strategies for legal recruiters; dealing with the ups & downs of business; and advising women candidates on how to achieve optimal success. Each conference provides a great time to reconnect with other experienced recruiting professionals and is always well attended, with timely topics on the agenda.
Momentum Search Partners is proud to have been a NALSC member since our inception.
