Momentum Search Partners is pleased to congratulate Kevin Trautner and Gravity Oilfield Services for his one-year anniversary as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary, and for Gravity’s recent hire of Zach Gaver as Commercial Counsel. A graduate of UVA Law School, Kevin has extensive experience providing legal services to the energy industry, both in private practice and in-house. Kevin was a partner at several prestigious AmLaw 100 firms in Houston, and has over 25 years of experience advising public and private companies in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, securities filings, board matters, complex high-risk issues and corporate governance matters.
Immediately before joining Gravity, Kevin served as a member of the senior executive team of a technology-based, publicly traded (NASDAQ: NCSM) oilfield services company, helping to manage company-wide strategic issues. As General Counsel he helped lead this private equity-backed company through a successful initial public offering or IPO. Reporting directly to the CEO, as he does in his current role, Kevin built and managed the legal department to proactively solve problems to facilitate business goals. He also advised other executives and the board of directors, and addressed all legal matters for the company, including those relating to strategic transactions, securities filings, corporate governance, employee matters, domestic and international commercial agreements, compliance, intellectual property, dispute resolution and executive compensation.
Prior to joining Gravity, Zach was an attorney for over a decade at several major law firms in Houston where he counseled energy companies on a wide variety of oil and gas matters. His experience includes acquisitions and divestitures of upstream assets, title work, and commercial contracts.
Led by energy industry veteran CEO Rob Rice, who has extensive executive experience in the oil & gas industry, Gravity is a growth-oriented provider of energy infrastructure services to U.S. onshore oil and natural gas exploration and production companies, providing water midstream solutions, critical power generation offerings and other production focused services. Gravity has significant coverage density in the Permian Basin, and benefits from a national footprint supported by facilities, operations and management personnel in several other key domestic resource plays including the Bakken, Eagle Ford, SCOOP/STACK, DJ Basin, Haynesville and Marcellus, among others.
Congratulations Gravity, Kevin, and Zach! We are pleased to have helped Gravity hire both Kevin and Zach, and look forward to watching your continued growth and success.
