A full-service, mid-sized law firm with a high-end real estate practice is seeking a real estate attorney with at least 3-15 years of experience. This firm represents commercial real estate developers in a wide variety of transactions across the state. Prior experience in private practice in Texas is required. This position can either work in one of the law firm’s offices or be fully remote, although a Texas law license and residency is required.
The firm has very reasonable billable hour requirements. Base pay will be in the mid-$100s to low $200s, depending on the attorney’s experience level, with a year-end bonus based on hours. Responsibilities:
- Handle a wide variety of real estate transactions on behalf of commercial real estate developers.
- Draft, review, and negotiate real estate contracts, agreements, and leases.
- Provide legal advice and support throughout the transaction process.
- Conduct legal research to stay current with relevant real estate laws and regulations.
- Analyze complex legal issues related to real estate matters.
- Prepare legal opinions and memos to support client needs.
- Act as a legal representative for clients in real estate negotiations and transactions.
- Maintain strong client relationships and provide exceptional client service.
- Collaborate with clients to achieve their real estate goals.
- Manage and organize legal documents, contracts, and transaction records.
- Ensure compliance with document retention and filing requirements.
- Ensure all real estate transactions comply with relevant laws and regulations.
- Conduct due diligence reviews to identify potential legal issues or risks.
- Advise clients on compliance matters.
- Meet reasonable billable hour requirements as set by the firm.
- Keep accurate time records and submit billing information promptly.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in Texas.
- 3-15 years of experience in real estate law.
- Prior experience in private practice in Texas is required.
- Strong knowledge of Texas real estate laws and regulations.
- Experience representing commercial real estate developers is preferred.
- Proficiency in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating real estate contracts.
- Ability to handle a variety of real estate transactions independently.
- Excellent client communication and relationship-building skills.
