A founding member of Momentum Search Partners, Jane was a CPA and an attorney prior to transitioning to legal recruiting. In addition to managing all aspects of Momentum’s operations and many of its client relationships, she also recruits for companies and law firms. She has successfully completed national searches for companies seeking attorneys and compliance professionals ranging from executive-level general counsels and chief compliance officers to staff attorneys.
Her recruiting experience spans legal and compliance departments in many industries, including financial services, energy, renewable energy, healthcare, manufacturing, retail and technology companies. In addition to working with in-house legal departments, Jane also works with international, regional, and local law firms to help them find top partner, associate, and management talent.
Jane obtained her JD with honors from the University of Texas, where she was a member of the Order of the Coif and Associate Editor of the Texas Law Review. After law school, she practiced law with Thompson & Knight, an AmLaw 200 firm based in Dallas, focusing on commercial and oil and gas litigation. She obtained her undergraduate degree with high honors in Accounting from the University of Arkansas, and worked for Price Waterhouse as a tax accountant prior to law school.
Jane lives in Austin and has been a speaker on legal hiring/attorney placement and career development. She has served on various boards of directors in the Austin community, and is currently a board member and treasurer of the Board of Directors for NALSC, the national professional association for legal search consultants. She spends her free time cycling, playing racket sports, gardening, traveling, and enjoying her family.
